PDF split

Split a PDF

Choose exactly which pages you need. The range is checked against the document's real page count, and each generated file is a valid PDF.

The PDF is parsed in this tab. Nothing is uploaded, and the output files are created in memory.

Split questions

What does the page range syntax accept?

Single pages and inclusive ranges separated by commas: 1-3,5,7-9. Page numbers start at 1. Reversed ranges, zero, empty entries and pages beyond the document are rejected instead of being silently skipped.

What is the difference between the three modes?

Extract produces one PDF containing the selected pages in the order you wrote them. Ranges produces one PDF per comma-separated group. Each produces one PDF per selected page.

Can I reorder pages while extracting?

Yes. The selected pages are copied in the order you list them, so “3,1” yields page 3 followed by page 1.

Are encrypted PDFs supported?

No. They are rejected with an explanation. This tool does not claim to decrypt documents.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Parsing, splitting and download creation all happen in this browser tab.
