PDF merge

Merge PDF files

Add your PDFs, put them in the right order, and download one combined document. Encrypted files are reported honestly instead of silently failing.

PDFs stay on your device. Merging happens in this tab; no file is uploaded.

How to merge

  1. Add at least two PDFs. Each is parsed immediately so a damaged file is caught early.
  2. Reorder with Move up / Move down until the list matches the order you want.
  3. Check the first-page thumbnails and the total page count.
  4. Merge and download. The result page lists the exact document order used.

Merge questions

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. Each file is read with the File API and assembled with pdf-lib inside this tab. The downloaded PDF is created from memory.

Can I change the order?

Yes. Every file has Move up and Move down buttons, so the order can be changed without dragging. The page order in the result follows the list from top to bottom.

Why was my password-protected PDF rejected?

Encrypted PDFs must be decrypted by a tool that actually supports it. This page refuses them rather than pretending to open them. Remove the password in your PDF reader and try again.

Is there a limit?

Up to 20 PDFs, 60 MB combined, 30 MB per file and 300 pages in the merged result. Limits keep the tab responsive on phones.

Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as objects; images and text are not re-encoded. Bookmarks and some interactive form state may not survive the merge.
